Two St John Cymru members, who fell in love while volunteering for the charity, got married in August 2017.

Nat Board and Rachel Beynon’s passion for the organisation was at the heart of their celebrations as they tied the knot at St John the Baptist church in Cardiff.

Rachel, who is the Youth Development Officer for the Cardiff and Vale county of St John Cymru Wales, said:

"St John is in our hearts and getting married in St John the Baptist church means everything to us. Nat will be wearing his black and white uniform for the ceremony."

Nat joined the organisation as a cadet and he is now the Deputy Commissioner for the Cardiff and Vale county of St John Cymru Wales.

The couple both credit St John Cymru Wales with playing a helping hand in their relationship.

"We met outside of St John," said Rachel. "However, the way the organisation has helped us to develop and strengthen ourselves individually has also helped to strengthen our relationship."

Nat and Rachel's special day:

Mike Flanagan, Commissioner for the Cardiff and Vale county of St John Cymru Wales, said:

"We are thrilled that St John Cymru Wales has helped to bring Nat and Rachel together. We wish them a happy future together as husband and wife.

"Love is definitely in the air in the county at the moment.”
